  1. I think that we need to try and reduce our carbon footprint because the earth is heating up and it is melting the ice caps and it might flood the earth because ice caps are made of frozen water. It will also mean that the polar bears will not have anywhere to live. The carbon is going into the atmosphere and burning holes in the ozone layer that is protecting the earth and stopping the sun being so hot.

    1. Such a lot of information, Lucy! What do you think will happen to the polar bears? Would they be able to adapt to a different habitat?

      1. The polar bears would die. I think that they wouldn’t be able to adapt to a different habitat because they are used to a cold environment so a change of climate could cause them to die.

  2. Dwi’n meddwl bod it is important to reduce our carbon footprint achos climate change is causing the ice caps to melt and if all the ice caps melt then cold blooded animals like polar bears and penguins are at risk of dying from exhaustion from having to swim and if they happen to catch a fish then they will not have any where to put it down to eat it properly ohenwydd if all the ice melts then there is a chance of the earth flooding. Fuels and gasses coming from cars and other things that gas comes out from have made a whole in the ozone layer which separated the earth from the sun so it was not too hot but now that there is a hole in the ozone layer the earth is heating up and that is why the ice caps are melting.

    1. I am impressed with your bilingual skills, Grace! Could you find out the definition of ‘cold-blooded’ as I think that you are a little confused…

  3. Reducing our individual footprint is not worth it in the grand scheme of things is true because we are offsetting a cemical called CO2 (carbon dioxide ).

    1. Redusing our carbon footprint the world would be a better place because an average person breaths out 4,000 kg of carbon dioxide per year but in the UK it is nearly 10,000 kg per person this means that we are geting mor and more bad thing going out into the air and this is will make more holes in the ozone layer.

  4. It is worth It because if we reduce our footprint then we can be safe from the sun if we produce our footprint then we will burn holes in the Ozone layer

  5. Our footprint is want makes the earth the earth because if it gets small it makes the world a better place and there would be no holes in the ouzel layer if it gets bigger there will be loads of holes and the earth wouldn’t be as special as it is

  6. I disagree because every little thing helps like say if i did not turn of my light in my room when i go to school if everyone done that would be a big problem me cycling to school is helpful because then my mum and dad do not release dangerous fumes into the air and that little thing helps.

  7. no it is worth the time we should be helping our world instead of destroying it with every
game we play and every car we drive is breaking it and is risking our existence which is why i think we should reduce are global footprint

  8. I believe that it is worth trying to reduce the global footprint because we will save our planet otherwise the ozone layer will vanish and the world will over flow with water because the Atlantic will melt and then after a few years it will all freeze.

  9. I think that it is worth to reduce the global footprint because we are saving our planet ever wise the ozone layer will disappear and the earth will flow on water and after a few years the world will freeze and the water which is what will be the world and kill everything on the earth.

  10. i bilev that it worf tryind to stop co2 going in to the ozonlar if we do not it will get so bad that all the plants will diy incloding tree wich mens that we can not ficks it but the hole wold will hete up and after a fow years it will frezz and all humen cin and crechus will ceac to exzist.

  11. I do not agree with this statement because it is very important that every person should always be trying to reduce the size of their carbon footprint. Every person’s carbon footprint adds to the damage being done to our environment. For example, the trees can no longer hold all the carbon that is being put into our atmosphere and causes holes in the ozone layer. These holes let too muck sun shine in which is melting the ice caps which can flood the world putting everybody and everything in danger. A few small changes could be using the car less and walking when you can or use the heating less and put a jumper on. These small changes are not difficult for people to do and by doing this it will make to world a safer place for everybody.

  12. When we are breathing we are breathing out carbon dioxide and the trees are taking that but when the trees are having to much of that the carbon it goes to the o zone layer and the o zone layer opens up little holes. It is the same when you are using a kettle that blows out lot of carbon and on my calculator only five people can use a kettle of a year in our school. But if you are using a phone maybe the whole school can use a phone a year. When we set a fire the smoke is also called carbon dioxide and the same with fossil fuels and those blow out lots of carbon so a lot of carbon will go to the o zone layer . The animals do the same like us they to breath out carbon and breath in oxygen.

  13. I think that reducing our individual footprint would not be a big thing in the great scheme of things because there a million of people on the world and even if everyone did reduce there would still be a big thing because of how much people are populating the earth and how much of them might have a much greater footprint than others and the bigger it is the worse it is but if it would be smaller there wouldn’t be as global warming but there because the amount of people it would still be a very big footprint everyone is creating together in all of the different countries.

  14. I disagree. This is because helping the planet is a good thing because if we did not reduce our global footprint, the earths energy would run out and dangerous gases in the air would melt ice cabs, which kills polar bears and the air can pollute some places on Earth.
